Get the Most Out of Life!
In 2023 I knew I wanted to do more with this one amazing and precious life and to connect with others and help more but didn’t know how. I wanted a community of people who thought a little differently and wanted that full, best life. To be around people who wanted to feel different, make a difference, and have a blast doing it! I felt called to do more and had a crazy curiosity to learn as much as I could in order to change my life and the lives of those around me. That led to a wild journey with some successes and failures. It was like throwing darts at a dart board and missing half the time. In 2024 I thought, “Yah, I’ll start a podcast” and promised myself I’d be consistent, interested, and do something that scared the pants off me in order to build a community and stop cutting the ham off on both ends. (If you don’t know the ham story, episode one is a delicious nod to doing things differently.) The show is a real-life collection of all the things that make me curious and how we can use these ideas and thoughts to move closer to who we’re created to be and have a ridiculous amount of fun in the process. So let’s step into our callings and conquer the day!
Meet Ashriel
Hi, I’m Ashriel (but you can call me Ash if it’s easier) and I’m the host of the Called and Curious Podcast.
I come from a family of entrepreneurs and dreamers but wasn’t sure what my own journey was. For so long in my life I thought the path of my life was set--I would be in the early education field. I got my degree in early education with a specialty in teaching kids to read. I gathered my energy and passion and taught kindergarten for over a decade. I loved it, but when that all changed, I fell asleep in my own life. I threw on cozy clothes and cozy daydreams and stopped doing the things to grow into my callings and go after my dreams.
Today, I’m awake and have an aliveness to be better, do better, and serve more in order to enact real change in the world and build a better future for people and the next generation. I believe that when we’re awake and aware we begin a refinement process where, who we become in these moments, days, months, and years is the calling-not the outcome.
